About this postcard

Puffins are colonial nesters, and where you find one you usually find hundreds. Iceland's sea cliffs and grassy headlands support some of the largest Atlantic puffin colonies on earth — the Westman Islands alone host around eight to ten million birds. Smaller colonies are found along much of the coast, particularly in the Westfjords and around the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

This postcard captures a group of puffins at rest on a hillside — their characteristic upright posture, orange feet, and vivid beaks all present.
