Húsavík sits on the north coast of Iceland, overlooking Skjálfandi Bay. It's best known as the whale-watching capital of Iceland — the cold, nutrient-rich waters of the bay are home to humpbacks, minkes, and occasionally blue whales. The wooden boats that line the harbour make the trip out daily from spring through autumn.
