About this postcard

Puffins arrive in Iceland in April or May, returning to the same clifftop burrows they used the year before. They spend the winter far out at sea, then come back to land to breed — tens of millions of them, in colonies along Iceland's coasts. The Látrabjarg cliffs in the Westfjords are one of the best places in the world to photograph them.

Up close, a puffin is surprisingly small — not much bigger than a pigeon — and remarkably tolerant of people. Their orange beaks are used to carry several small fish at once. In flight they look frantic, beating their small wings furiously. At rest, like this, they look as if they have nowhere else they'd rather be.

Every Postcard.is design is a real image from Iceland — a place whose landscapes range from glaciers and waterfalls to volcanic deserts and midnight-sun coastlines. We print each card on quality postcard stock, add your personal message, and post it directly from Iceland with a genuine Icelandic stamp and postmark.
